Abstract
The article deals with the volunteer movement of theVyatkaprovince during 1812 year. On 23 July 1812 the meeting of merchant and middle class assemblies took place. The middle class assembly delivered 50 of its representatives to the home guard. The merchant class assembly made a decision to equip them with uniform, food and money. Totally theVyatkahome guard accepted about 200 volunteers.
