Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze French borrowing B.Y. Poplavsky. Gallicisms considered on the material of poetry and Romance Studies of the writer. When referring to the works of B.J. Poplavskiy used historical and genetic and lexical-semantic analysis methods. The study proved Gallicisms special function in the formation of nonce words, intertextual relations and tragic picture of the world B.Y. Poplavsky.
