Abstract
The majority of the cross-cultural psychological researches contain the interactions between researchers and subjects in the format of interviews, questionnaires, etc. Japanese psychologists have a particular interest in the response styles of Japanese subjects. The characteristic features of the response styles of Japanese respondents to the questionnaires repeatedly investigated by social psychologists.
