Abstract
The article deals with the linguistic units used for verbalization of the speaking subject. The article uses scientific and technical papers published in English engineering journals as a research material. To describe the linguistic markers of the speaking subject we use the criterion of prototypicality according to which we categorized all linguistic units into prototypical and atypical.
