AbstractThis article deals with the problem of adapting the translation of the song «Manchester et Liverpool» to the Russian view of the world, made by Robert Rozhdestvensky. In this article, we investigate the question of marks created by culture, which help to understand the essence of the culture. In this case we are talking about creating of Russian view of the world in the process of translating of foreign literary texts and how to achieve understanding of foreign texts through the use of the key concepts of Russian culture.Keywords: concept, culture, image of the world, intercultural communication, key lexical unit, Russian model of the world, symbols, translation
