Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of C. Funke’s novel “Inkheart” (in German and Russian) and the study of the color specifications of its main characters. We study positive and negative characters, their name meanings. Also we listed and analyzed the colors that are typical for characters. In addition the translation quality is briefly defined.
