Abstract
By the example of Tyumen Region is considered the influence of Russia's WTO accession on the economy of the regions, characterized by the dominance extraction of natural resources in GRP. Concluded that, despite the positive values of socio-economic development indicators (such as HDI, GRP per capita, etc), these regions are threatened by the degradation of their economic structure and increasing resource dependence.
