THE ORTODOX CHISTIANS IN RUSSIA IN THE 20TH CENTURY – WORLDVIEW OR SELF-IDENTIFICATION

Abstract
This article is devoted to the problem of religiosity of the Orthodox Russian population in the beginning of the 20th century. Рreference is given to the theistic understanding of religiosity. It is states on the basis of the analysis of sociological data of religiosity of the individuals, who name themselves “the Orthodox believers”, that the group “believers” among this individuals in Russia is insufficient for the cultural and spiritual revival of society, and that the Russian Orthodox Church as the community of the believers is secular in itself.
