Abstract
The article considers the question of the place of social conflict in modern society and the role of social risks in the formation of social conflict. Formulated the idea that conflict is a threat to national security system, a general basis of phenomena that are threats to national security. Concluded that threats to national security should be considered only those conflicts that endanger vital life processes of the nation, weaken the stability of its existence, threaten its existence.
