Abstract
The article is devoted to establishing of reserve home guard in Russia in 1812. Among other questions the author investigates setting up of the Vyatka additional home guard which was a part of the third Home guard region. This home guard was established for the case of collapse of the regular army during 1812-1813. After achieving its aims it was dismissed. As well as the regular army the home guard had always had fresh reserves which could be used in the extreme case. These reserves were mainly received from the province, for example, from the Vyatka land, and were used in certain time and in certain amount.
