CRITICAL THINKING TEACHING: IS IT “EXOTIC MEANS” OR NONTRIVIAL PROBLEM SOLVING?

Abstract
The typical mistakes in critical thinking understanding are considered in the article. The critical thinking properties, composition, function and genesis are presented as a system. Methodological recommendations from students' critical thinking development are defined for teachers: creation of problem situations in learning process; solving of non-trivial problem tasks; students' acquaintance with principles, strategies and procedures of critical thinking; creation the choice situations (problem teaching methods); organization the dialogue during problem tasks solving activity (interactive educational studies); essay writing and subsequent reflection; admission the students' right on error and design the situations of errors' correction.
