PROBLEMS OF MEDICAL AND SANATORIUM-RESORT SERVICES FOR THE DISABLED IN SIBERIA (1920-1930S)

Abstract
The paper highlights some questions of Soviet disability policy in 1920s on the base of previously unpublished materials from the Siberian archives. One of directions of this policy was the complex of medical and sanatorium-resort services. The author makes a conclusion about ineffective medical measures for the disabled during review period. According to the author, in the Soviet social policy for the disabled were more elements of social than medical model of disability. It was a certain innovation, but at the same time, the high-quality medical care of persons with disabilities was not developed.
