Abstract
The article discusses the role of translation as a means of cross-cultural communication. Particular attention is paid to the difficulties in translation in the process of cross-cultural communication. The task is to consider the words’ structure on the basis of the comparative analysis of English and Chinese languages and to carry out lexical analysis of the elements of the words.
