Abstract
The article describes the causes, conditions and procedure for sending Turkish prisoners of war to St. Petersburg to serve in various positions at the Imperial Court in XVIII - XIX centuries. The author gives several examples of such services, and suggests that the descendants of Turkish prisoners are able to perform various duties in the Russian Imperial Court until 1917.
