Abstract
This article deals with an important issue of modern onomastics associated with the fact that rather an extensive terminology system does not allow choosing relevant terms for all proper names. In particular, there is no such a term for the category of mysterious places, though these objects also deserve to be called. At the same time they cannot be referred to micro toponymy, because they can be individual objects or separate objects belonging to other groups.
