Abstract
The article gives a theoretical base for proving the importance of personal development of students in the learning process. Also article shows the role of a special psychological-pedagogical discipline, which actualizes the personal mechanisms of the professional development of undergraduates. Theoretical bases of the development and implementation of the relevant academic discipline are presented. The results of the evaluation of its effectiveness are analyzed. The materials presented in the article will be useful for teachers of higher education and leaders of educational programs in terms of developing and implementing educational disciplines that are oriented to the competence of self-education, self-development, teamwork and management.
