Abstract
The article defines the possibilities of determination and clarification of the category of "upbringing" by future teachers in physical education in the structure of the course "Theoretical pedagogy". The quality of the productive study of the course "Theoretical Pedagogy" determines the possibility of using pedagogical modeling in clarifying the categorical apparatus of modern pedagogy, in our situation it is the category of "upbringing" determined in the structure of the methodological approaches studied.
