Abstract
This article is devoted to the examination of the functioning of the euphemisms, belonging to the thematic group "Physical abilities" in the Russian and English languages. Knowledge of their rules plays a big role in intercultural communication. The study allows to reveal lingvocultural specific features in euphemism formation, unique features of euphemization and functioning of the given group euphemisms in two linguistic communities.
