CULTURAL TEXT: PECULIARITIES OF ITS DEFINITION AND PERCEPTION

Abstract
The article discusses changing perceptions of the culture associated with the peculiarities of textual perception. The text continually goes beyond the classic perception limits, becoming more of a tool that is creating the culture itself. In this regard, the authors analyze how the text is functioning in the modern culture, its cultural image — regarded from the position of consciousness that is creating and perceiving, as well as the recipient's role in designing the cultural environment of the text.
