Abstract
In article activity of Muslims of the Ulyanovsk region, including the celebration of the most important Islamic holidays is considered. Actions of the Soviet authorities, first of all, of the representative for religious cults (religions) for control of religious practice of believers - explanatory conversations with believers, replacement of Muslim holidays secular, etc. are characterized.
