Abstract
This article is devoted to studying the concept of a noble family, the characteristics of education in it, its contents, and gender differences. The performed research allows to deduce the three pillars on which the whole system of education in the family nobility XVIII-XIX centuries. The article pronounced features of education at that time very different from modern ideas, which are more concerned not so much the content of the training as a special perception of the concepts of "family", "childhood", etc.
