Abstract
Currently, the increasingly popular component in the educational process of secondary vocational education is the scientific activity. The article describes the principles of scientific research in institutions of secondary vocational education, provides guidelines for publication of the results of scientific research, justified by the elements of the mathematical model to identify the scientific potential of the teaching staff of secondary vocational education institutions.
