Abstract
This article focuses on graphical stylistic devices and their role in the novel ‘A History of the World in 10½ Chapters’. The concepts of italics, capitalization, suspension points and dash in term of their artistic value are under consideration. Graphon and the concepts mentioned are considered to be self-contained and fall into the category of graphical stylistic devices. It is stressed that they contribute to the artistic merits of the novel, help to get a deep insight into the inner world of the personages, understand their feelings and motivation.
