Abstract
On the basis of archival data and published sources the author was reconstructed history of research initiatives to study of sociology, ethnography and language of the Even on the territory of Yakutia in the 1950s. In this regard, the key actors of conducted research were determined; the basic directions, geography and results were defined and illustrated.
