Abstract
The current stage of world development is characterized by the struggle for the redistribution of political and military influence of states competing for dominance comprehensive.
The article deals with a number of foreign political and economic problems of modern Russia, as well as an attempt to answer the question about why we can not be a technological breakthrough and overcome the dependence from the sale of oil and gas.
The problem of critical thinking of our failed attempts technological breakthrough in the sixth techno-economic paradigm is solved.
