Abstract
In the article on the basis of existing written and cartographic materials XVII - XIX centuries, describes the stages of development Chukmanskogo сape in Tobolsk. As a result of archaeological research in different years it found that Chukmanskom on cape in the early Iron Age ancient settlement there, were studied urban fortifications XVII century, discovered the burial in the parish cemetery XVII century, belonging to the first inhabitants of the city of Tobolsk. The lack of active construction activity in the territory of the cape in XVIII - XX centuries it helped to preserve intact of the cultural layers from the Early Iron Age to the late Middle Ages and modern times.
