Abstract
The purpose of article is to consider the unique personality, soviet and saboteur I.G. Starinova. Based on the analysis of literature and works of I.G. Starinova identified the subtleties of subversive war during the 20th century. Experience sabotage operations of the Spanish civil war, the Great Patriotic War Starinov used for training officers of domestic special units. In modern armed conflict dominates the tactics of guerrilla warfare, so relevant today emulate legendary «grandfather soviet special forces».
