Abstract
The article covers the main stages of development of infantry fighting vehicles of Russian Armed Forces: BMP-1, BMP-2 and BMP-3. The work contains a brief review of technical decisions, that were implemented in BMPs various models, features of vehicles configuration and its equipment. Author pays special attention to tactical and technical characteristics of the mentioned military equipment.
