ANALYTICAL DISCOURSE IN ENGLISH MASS MEDIA TEXT: AXIOLOGY AND EXPRESSIVENESS (ON THE MATERIAL OF HEADING “SCIENCE”)

Abstract
Journalistic text, reinforcing their positions in the socio-cultural sphere of the global information society, affects the system language, the nature and the proceedings of their function, as well as situational selection of discursive means by language personality. The Mass Media influences on the shape of general conceptual individual outlook (picture) of the world. This article suggests that even rigorous scientific news and topics under English newspapers suppose certain axiology mood and peculiar expressivity; we stress the politicization of journalistic discourse with manipulative intent as its main characteristic feature.
