Abstract
This article provides an overview of the evolutionary changes that have occurred in the Russian economy of single-industry towns. Factors and conditions of single-industry towns in the economic space of Russia, as well as contemporary issues of urban development and the causes that gave rise to them. Reflected the key advantages and disadvantages of single-industry towns.
