Abstract
This article deals with the comparative analysis and research of ancient tragedy and absurdity of the twentieth century literature in the context of their philosophical and ideological content, as well as consideration of the origins of such content. The study suggests that the questions which are raised in these genres, is still relevant, and obtained in the framework of this genres conclusions are important in existential and absurdist researching and studying of the phenomenon of pessimism.
