Abstract
This article is devoted to the analysis and study of the characteristics of female crime, to determine the motivation of crimes committed by women. This study allows asserting that the problems of female crime today have broad relevance that require more thorough attention from theorists and practitioners. The article provides a historical analysis of this phenomenon, the assessment of the current situation based on works of scientists of the USSR, and theorists in Russia today.
