Abstract
The focus of the article is on the definition of forecasting methods and the volume of analysis supplied products which are most frequently used by Industrial Facilities of Russia and creating a forecast of the future, based on past and present data and analysis of trends, for the purpose of revealing consistent pattern using one of the most prevalent forecasting methods – trend extrapolation. The author concludes from his analysis that forecasting contributes to achieving high efficiency of production and strengthening competitive advantages of the company in the long – term. Forecasting is focused on effective development of Industrial Facilities and their sustainable economic development.
