TRANSLATORS’ ETHICAL CODES: ON BOTH SIDES OF THE LINGUISTIC DIVIDE

Abstract
The article briefly reviews ethical codes of international and national professional organizations of translators and formulates their principles, one of which, the principle of professional and linguistic competence, is discussed in more detail in the context of linguistic paradigm of translation.
