Abstract
In the submitted article the essence of adaptation of students to training conditions in higher education institution is considered, motives are considered, stages and factors of adaptation of students are allocated. It is defined: the motivation to educational activity is mediated by incentive sources for the solution of educational tasks, and the motivation on mastering professional activity is directly connected with professionalizing, identification with a certain social and professional role.
