Abstract
The article is devoted to actual scientific problem – the study of the mentality of ethnos. The analysis of the mentality today is in different directions, using a variety of techniques. Examines the nature of mentality, the peculiarities of its formation and functioning, identifies dominant features of people's mentality. The article highlights the most common features of Russian mentality.
