Abstract
The article deals with the study of one of the most difficult aspects of translation, namely, the interaction of epithets, metaphors, metonymies and similes in the structure of a poetical text and the change of their associative and figurative connections as a result of stylistic transformations with the case study of the comparison of poetical texts by A.Akhmatova with their translations into English. The close interaction between epithets and metaphors, epithets and metonymies, epithets and metaphors, metaphors and similes with some expansion or contraction of their semantic field in the translations is observed.
