Abstract
The article analyzes the features of content and language of short stories written by modern writer Vadim Sharapov. Close intertwining of the ordinary and real, the story about miracles as something natural, normal are characteristic for artistic method of writer. Hero of Sharapov – a new interpretation of the image of "little man" the classic in Russian literature – the working man, skilled craftsman, honest, worthy hunky. Language of stories is full of stylistic contrasts.
