Abstract
In the article the specificity of the philosophical legal thinking of P. I. Novgorodtsev as estestvennogo, tracemessages as the principle of ethical criticism in relation to positive law. Concerns about the relationship issues of philosophy of law, ethics and social philosophy. Are the sources of philosophical-legal discourse Novgorodtsev. It is noted that in General, the principles of philosophy of law Novgorodtsev can be considered in three aspects: methodological, theoretical and historical and theoretical. The main attention is paid to the consideration of the first two aspects.
