ARRANGEMENT OF BARRIER FREE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT FOR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED CHILDRENS IN INSTITUTION FOR SUPPLEMENTARY EDUCATION

Abstract
Under the “On Education in the Russian Federation” law, the state takes liabilities for arrangement of barrier free educational environment for physically challenged pupils. “Barrier free environment for physically challenged people” national program is aimed at creation of necessary conditions for education and integration of persons with disabilities. According to the 2011-2014 statistics the percentage of disabled children in educational institutions is down. The lack of psycho-pedagogical and material and technical conditions for inclusive education is among major contributing causes. The administration, teaching-staff, psychologists, social workers arrange barrier free educational environment for physically challenged pupils in institution for supplementary education. The teaching-staff, taking into consideration interests and abilities of child, arranges educational environment and creates individual educational program, which takes into account capabilities and educational needs and psychophysiological state, based on main educational program for particular profile.
