Abstract
This article discusses the record and specificity of "Үuryung Uolan" olonkho from Verkhoyansky epic tradition. It is known that Nikita Gorokhov recorded the 1st part named “Yurung Uolan” (Bright Boy) of "Khaan Dargystay" olonkho, published in Russian at the end of the XIX century in St. Petersburg. The publication is one of the first publications on the Yakut epic, emphasizes the authentic feature of the Verkhoyansk storytellers` tales, created in end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th centuries, which continues and complements the theme of the story line about ancestor of the Yakuts.
