Abstract
This article discusses the controversial aspects of the topic of sophineti and sophiology in Russian culture. Special attention to this theme (especially sophiology) attracts not only due to the fact that she was the focus of religious-philosophical and theological discussions of the first half of the twentieth century, but also to the fact that sophiology Archpriest S. N. Bulgakov became a subject of Church censure. The focus of the article is on the religious-philosophical discussions.
