Abstract
This article discusses the place names at the middle and lower reaches of Amga river. Place names reflecting the traditional use of natural resources (cattle and horse breeding) of the Yakuts living in the basin of Amga river are analyzed. It was revealed that the names associated with the breeding of cattle and horses are of the Yakut origin that is associated with the history of development of the territory.
