Abstract
At the early of XX century the Russian technicians had observed of American technologies and know-how in various economic spheres to be use that experiences in Russian Empire. In this case image of America was provided by Russia's "technical intelligentsia", the kind of intellectual elite, which had borrowed the technologies from United States. More important result of this process was the generating a particular approach in assessing the US under the influence of such factor as “technicism”.
