Abstract
The article discusses the activities of members of the West Siberian Department of the Russian Geographical Society for the Study of the region. Proceedings of the members of the Geographical Society of the pre-revolutionary period laid the necessary basis for further comprehensive studies: history, economy and culture of the West Siberian region.
