Abstract
This article is devoted to questions of preparation of pupils to performance on city day of science on informatics. In the article gives an overview of the thematic reports submitted by pupils on day of science. The article considers the trends of development of theoretical computer science and information technologies that define the scientific interests of the pupils in the field of study school informatics. Prospects in the organization of system of profile training in informatics are defined.
