Abstract
Before the First world war the Ministry of education planned in the subordinate institutions of events dedicated to the celebration of the centennial anniversary of the birth of M. Y. Lermontov. In secular schools Altai began active preparations for the holiday that has led to the development of significant celebration. Activities contributed Patriotic and aesthetic education of students.
