Abstract
This paper investigates issues related to the establishment of the banking union in times of financial instability. Creation of such a union is necessary because it means the exercise in the future concrete measures to support financial stability in the euro area. In addition, the main policy objective of the European countries is the decline in public debt and budget deficit.
