Abstract
Article considers essence the concept "creative independence" of the student designer on the basis of the analysis of researches of concepts ""creativity", "independence", "independent activity". And also it is analysed, in what interrelation there are the basic concept "a creative independence" and the listed above concepts. Structural components on which development it is necessary to place emphasis in the course of vocational training of students are allocated.
