Abstract
The article defines the role of sports as a social and cultural phenomenon in the life of mankind, analyzed the concept of sport as a policy, set an example of its implementation in the materials of the Ukrainian and Russian media in diachronic slice considered works by Spanish, French, Italian, English and Russian scientists from the sport as a form of politics, defined vectors interaction of sports and politics.
